why and how do you break in your new cube?

To make the cube fit your style, since the friction will mostly be on the same spots for you. It'll make those places smooth and your overall cube more main speedcube material.

I personally just walk around school (or wherever) scrambling constantly. Like Daijo said, it creates friction in the right places and breaks it in very nicely.

Once your cube is "broken in" it's gains the ability to solve itself in 7.08 seconds. You break a cube in by cracking eggs into it's core and vigorously repeating the superflip alg until the eggs, silicon and cube dust have bonded together and formed intelligent eukaryotes that can recite God's Algorithm.

I vouch this

I break in my cube to make it do awesome things more consistently.

How? Usually it involves just wearing through the factory lube. For stroeboughts I jam them trying to cut a corner and leave it there for a week. Then I switch corners. After 8 weeks the spring have been nicely stretched and I can start sanding off unimportant parts and rounding edges. Only then can I lube it, wear through that, and consider it broken in.

You didn't mention silicon in the recipe :O
