[Help Thread] Where To Buy Cubes Thread

What are some places in Seattle Washington, that sell Rubik's Brand Cubes?

Hi, I just got into Rubik's cubes about a month ago, and I was wondering where i could get the following cubes, that are Rubik's Brand cubes in Seattle, WA.
1.Rubik's 2x2x2/Rubik's Mini (not the Rubik's Jr. , that has one green side, one monkey face on pink side, and four pink sides.)
2.Rubik's 2x2x4/Rubik's Tower
3.Rubik's Twist/Rubik's Snake
4.Rubik's 3x3x3/Rubik's Cube

I don't really mind ordering these cubes online of the Rubik's site, but I would like to try and get these cubes in Seattle, Washington before Resorting to the internet, because of shipping fees!

1. Don't buy Rubik brand cubes, they're godawful!

2. Online + shipping < store prices, so buy online.

if you're in a rush, try TheCubicle, should only take a couple of days. Not sure if they stock 2x2x4 or snake tho.

If you're not in a rush, try Hknowstore, FastTech, our Wallbuys.

Lightake is very trustworthy. Besides, they're on the forum, so you can chew them out if they cheat you.
 
where in america has cheap/free shipping internationally. it seems all the big ones (cubicle, scs, e3cubes etc) all either dont ship internationally or are way to expensive. i have lost to much stuff coming from china and i have had no luck finding a decent European one with any of the new cubes (ukcubestore... im waiting!)

Lightake has never failed me. The shipping should be very fast to you. Fasttech is less reliable. Wallbuys is awesome.

I find hassling Kong every day until he stocks the cubes you want works!

I've ordered from Fasttech, TheCubicle, and UKCubestore, and here's my 2 pence (/cents, for our American cousins) worth:

Fasttech:
Item cost - UBER cheap, like ridiculously cheap. So cheap, I had to check half a dozen threads to give me the confidence that I'd get anything delivered at the end of it!
Delivery cost - there was a free option, but went for the cheapest paid option just to give things a shove
Delivery time - c. 2wks
Communication - poor. I tried to contact them about my delivery, to check progress, and they basically said my parcel had been given to the carrier, and was not their problem any more. It took a few days to get this response!

TheCubicle:
Item cost - what you'd expect from a Western store. You pay the price for import from China, then some extra markup for the storeholders. Can't grumble about that though!
Delivery cost - expensive. But worth it for the range of DIYs they sell. I've ordered from them a couple of times, and one order was stickers only, which is pretty cheap if you can bump your order over something like $15.
Delivery time - about a week, inc. 2 days processing.
Communication - good. Phil replied to me within about 24 hours when I wanted to change something in my order.

UKCubeStore:
Item cost - as per TheCubicle. Some bargains to be found. Kong's store is less established than TheCubicle, so he doesn't have the same bulk-buying power. I doubt he's ordering 500 Weilongs, for example!
Delivery cost - one delivery was free, another was a couple of pounds. One of my orders was dispatched the next day, the other the same day.
Delivery time - next day.
Communication - excellent. Kong lives on these forums, and replies to emails pretty sharply.

Be patient with Kong - he does his best, and the store's only been running a few months. If you ask for something, he'll get it (or try to), but bear in mind it needs to be ordered from China in bulk. He's as much at the mercy of international delivery times as everyone else.

I'm not sure exactly what stock UKCubeStore are waiting on at the moment, I'm sure Kong can advise, but I know it includes:

Milky Zhanchi,
Milky Weilong,
Other stuff!

Basically, your options are:

1 - buy from China/HK, pay a little, run the risk, but have comprehensive choice of cubes
2 - buy from US, pay more, pay through the teeth for international shipping, and have slightly less choice
3 - buy from the UK, pay similar to US, pay less for shipping, but have even less choice of cubes!

Rock/hard place/another rock!
 
Ok so I'm thinking of buying some cubes from Lightake, only not sure about just how trustworthy they are?

I've heard some people with some bad experiences with shipping and whatnot. Just wanting to make sure that it's just the negativity stands out thing. Since I've heard a lot of people say it's fine.

So either reassure me or tell me Lightake isn't good. Or flame me for being insecure.

Y U SO INSECURE MONEY IS JUST MONEY

Seriously doe just use the cubicle in the US.

Chinese stores are cheap, but it's nice to get your stuff fast.

Recently I have heard that lightake is taking forever to ship out stuff.

Actually that's normal. It's a holiday season now, dude. :rolleyes: Most of the Chinese stores have the same transporting situation. I bought some cubes from Lightake. It's fast and cubes are really good. lol Okay, I admit most importantly, I like cheap cubes:D

LoL. Dude. That's what I think. If Lightake failed me, I can just shout loudly at their thread :D They have the most views among all the stores in this forum. They won't just leave us alone.

Exactly! Same with all the Chinese/HK stores really. They get the cubes so cheap they can sell them at really good prices.

The Cubicle, SCS, UKCubestore, etc. all pay more for their stock, and so it costs the consumer more.

I don't think there's anything to worry about with any the established stores anywhere. You WILL get your cubes, but it might take a few weeks!

I thought my last Lightake delivery had got lost and emailed them. I got myself all hot under the collar... Then they arrived the next day!
