Where should I go from now?

Well i've cubed for about 3 months or so and i've reached an average of 30 seconds using the LBL beginner method. This method usually takes about 130 moves to solve (i even did some modifications myself to make it shorter) Which leaves me with a 4.33 moves per second average. Well i think i can't get any faster with the LBL honestly so i was thinking of switching to an advanced one. I was wondering wether i should switch to CFOP or ROUX. I've seen people get good times with Roux plus it's intuitive but there are a few M slices which could come in hard to get used to, also when doing OH solves the M slices would be hard to do. Well and CFOP is a great and fast method but it takes learning by hard lots of algorithms (i don't have anything against this, just stating what would be considered a con). Well i'd like to hear your opinion. Keep it friendly and respectful please, i'm just a noobie looking for guidance :)

Try both and try even more methods. Whichever you prefer the idea go with that. It's about being really efficient at first remember. And Roux isn't actually much of a problem for OH.

But my fear is that by trying a lot of methods i might never become really good at one. Or maybe by trying one and another i never get to fully know each method so my appreciation on it would not be good enough to make a good decision.

Well but you're probably the best Roux solver out there and you got an ao5 OH of 25 so it gives me doubts :/ Maybe you don´t practice enough OH or maybe it´s just hard with Roux.

You'll never become really good at one if you don't practice enough with one. I've only been cubing for 8 months. First started with LBL then CFOP. My CFOP average was around 35 before transitioning to ZZ as my main method. I now average close to sub 20 with ZZ which I practice a lot and still maintain a sub 40 average with CFOP which I never practice. There is no harm in tinkering with other methods from time to time. Some Valuable things can be learnt. I picked up some things from Roux and Petrus that have helped me learn more efficient ways of solving using ZZ.

Haha what i'm really trying to say is play around with everything until you find something you really like and stick with it once you're certain you can do 1000+ solves with that method in a week without getting bored.

you´re right, thanks for the advice. i´ll start with Roux as my main method and then i´ll see if i can learn a bit of others or try them to see which best suit my needs. Maybe i start roux and i dont like M slices and move on to CFOP or ZZ or petrus. Thanks for the advice again :D

I now average sub-20 OH. I almost never practice OH though. That's why i suck.

Also that fear is completely pointless. If you want to make a big decision the few weeks of actually deciding doesn't equate to much.

Yeah it's true, i decided to start learning roux today. I'll see how it goes and if i don't like i have the chance to change to other methods. Plus the Roux i learnt might help me with other methods or vice versa.
