What's your funniest incident as a cuber?

At my first Comp, i was judging someone in clock (we even got friends that comp), and we both forgot to sign the scorecard, and a delegate used a mic to ask who judged him so that he can confirm that that solve was right. I, who was judging, was panicking. Then, luckily, the competitor saw me and told the delegate that i was judging so they waited until i was able to sign the sheet and he didn't got a DNF

Yesterday, I was trying to recon a good scramble for my progression and reconed the wrong solution. Ended up finishing though😀

This kid said he had a friend who could solve a 5x5 in 30 seconds. I was like no way, that would mean he is world class, and this kid is supposedly like 10. When I got my first sub 10 3x3 single I told the kid and I asked him about "the kid" again, and he said no it was like a 33x33 in 3 seconds and I was like... ok

Another time I was cubing in a burger resturant at the lunch break after a comp. There was a lot of cubers there and one of the kids sitting at the table nearby was like, "mom why are there so many rubik's cubers" she said, there is probably a meet-up or smth.

Final time, there was a kid I ran into solving his non-magnetic Gan and I walked up and said scramble it for me. He said can you solve it, and I said yeah. He mixed it up and said what is your pb? I was like you'll see. I proceed to solve it in roughly 14 seconds, walk away and say 9. He was dazed.

Next time I saw that kid he was using a non magnetic qiyi. I said why did you switch? He said he wanted to try something new lol.

Ok,3 questions

Who is Eva kato?
What is 2e2e?
People really main square?
Eva Kato is former FWR holder for sq-1. Very fast.

2e2e is 2 edge 2 edge swap. There are 6 edges on the pyraminx, I gave a case when only 4 edges were to be permuted as 2e2e.

Sq-1 is a fun event. A few people like Max, Samuel and Brendan main the event.

Mine was, once i was sitting at a bench cubing with my cousin. A child came and asked me, "Do you know how to solve a cube?". I said yes. He then asked, "Could you pls teach me as well? I can solve only 5 sides at once." I said ok. I have never seen that kid since.
I finally met that kid again. When I aksed him about his progression, he was literally like "Who are you?". After a bit of tought reminding process he came to the conclusion that his pet cat broke his cube. But later I came to know that he has a pet dog.

*Limits of lying surpassed*

I went to a competition last weekend and I judged a kid the didn’t know how to solve the cube. The first 5 minutes of him solving he solved the cube top to bottom untill he got to the last layer and told me he didn’t know how to solve the cube. Therefore he then stopped the timer. The kid looked pretty embarrassed and his parents were smiling and congratulated him. His parent must have not know that it was a Speedcubing comp not a can you solve it comp.
