hey y'all,

I'm speedcubing for like 4/5 months now and thanks to all your help I can solve the cube in around 30-40 sec.
I got some friends of mine to learn to solve a cube to and one of them found his moms old cube. So he took it with him and showed it to me but I couldn't tell what type it was.
Here are some pics:

Well as you can see it doesn't has the 'normal' rubiks color scheme. It's colors are blue opposite to yellow, white opposite to orange and yellow opposite to red.
It has a crystal clear core and a spring structure.
The cube pops very easily bus i don't know if there are adjustable screws in it the center caps are removeble but i didn't because i was scared to break them (there are screws 'cause I can see them in the core).
Can you guys help me out with this because i think it's a really cool cube wich I think can be good after cleaning and lubing (and if possible adjusting screws)

Hopefully someone can tell me more about this cube.
Thanks,
Frank

:EDIT:

Ok it seemed like i'm the only one who could see the pictures so here's another try. Can you see them now?

Yeah, i've tried editing the tags, but it seems like your server doesn't like to link to it. I would suggest hosting the pics on something like tinypic or imageshack. I was able to download the pics and look at them I have no idea what type of cube it is. How old do you think it is?

His mom bought it at a market about 20 years ago.

Are the pictures working now?

Well i think for the 20 years at least 19 years it has been on the bottom of some drawer so that would explain the good condition.
However i had never seen the completly transparent core so i thought it could be something 'special'.

The cube you have, is a Rubik's Studio cube. You can tell when a cube is a studio cube when the core is transparent and the scheme of the stickers is White vs Blue, flourscent orange vs reddish maroon and green vs yellow. Although, your cube doesn't seem to have a Rubik's logo, which is making me wonder if it was a knock off or someone just replaced the stickers. But what you do have for sure is a Rubik's Studio cube, which go for about 30 dollars now. Personally, I think the Rubik's studio cube is MUCH better than the rubik's brand cube now and even better than my DIYS. Hope that helps, if you need anymore info on Studio cubes just ask.

Ok that's cool,

He wanted to trade it so i bought him a DIY cube wich will arive in about a month.
I don't think the logo has worn of because the stickers seem very good.

Another question:
Are there adjustable screws in this cube? In other words, is it worth a try to get the center pieces off?

Nah, I dont think it's worth it to get the center pieces off. With some lube, the studio cube is even better than a now rubik's brand rubik due to the way the inside pieces are shaped.

Also, about the logo thought, my studio cube, which was bought maybe 20 or 25 years ago had a nice Rubik logo sticker. So I don't know why yours doesn't have a logo.

Studio cubes have removable caps...

Your cube looks like just a plain cube from the 80's, perhaps what they sold in stores.
I bought two such cubes from Cubesmith, and the parts look like that (flat centers, round holes in the corner extensions...), except for filled corners.
My stickers are also bit worse, though (misaligned by now), have an old logo on the white face, and the "Made in Korea" sticker was still on.

sort of looks exactly like my cube (well in fact now that i look at it, the pieces and core seem exactly same as mine).. although mine has a rubik's logo engraved in it. i have no idea where mine is from (always wanted to find out :O), i really like it though. cuts corners really well
