What puzzles to buy?

i also have a homer head and a calender cube which is nice to have i think. i will get a rubik's sphere tomorrow or so. i will buy the stuff that avgalen said soon and a square 1 as well. btw ebay is a nice store to buy from and you find (almost) everything.

Thanks for adding the Square-1 to the list. I completely forgot about it. I would list it after the Nintendo Barrel.

I heard Mefferts will not make new MegaMinxes untill the end of 2007. A positive point might be that Stefan Pochmann told Mefferts about his modifications and that the new MegaMinxes might include them out of the box.

When I ordered some stuff from 9spuzzles (which is probably the same as cube4you) I decided to just include one of those new megaminxes. They are terrible because they have sharp edges, hard noise, pops, easy clockwise / difficult counterclockwise moves, bad colors, etc..................but I am glad I have a MegaMinx now anyway. (and it was worth the little money it cost)

I got a cheap minx from cube4you. and I am glad I got one too. but the quality sucks big time. what could I expect from a 5 dollar range. I just added it to my order as it were so cheap.

I hope MEfferts would make a speed solving minx (WITHOUT that clicking mechanism) and yea, better colors

If you are into the speed aspect, I would go for Eastsheen 4x4s and 5x5s (If you don't already have them). Otherwise, the square-1 and the megaminx are awesome puzzles.

Huh? Why would sq-1 and megaminx be non-speed puzzles?
I wasn't implying that the square-1 and megaminx puzzles were non speed puzzles. I was merely trying to say (since dudemanpp already has a 2x2, a 4x4, and a 5x5) that if he was interested in improving time, Eastsheen cubes were better than their Rubik's counterparts IMHO. However, since dudemanpp already has all the Eastsheen cubes, I still recommend the square-1 and megaminx. I personally think they make great speed solving puzzles.
