Hi Everybody!
I just need some help getting a new 3x3 and some other puzzles like Clock, Mega and 5x5.
I need some help trying to figure out which 3x3 should I get?
There is like a lot of cubes and I want to probably get a cube within the 20-40 dollar range for 3x3.
Also, what Mega and 5x5 should I get?
Thanks!

I got the YS3M (ball core) recently and I really think it's the best performing cube I've ever tried--and I have tried many puzzles. Note that it is on the blockier and heavier side. But, it feels like it is impossible to make mistakes on the puzzle even at high TPS. If you want something softer feeling, I'll let someone else answer, since I'm out of the loop on a lot of 3x3 hardware these days.

YuHu v2 is still a top tier megaminx used by pros at a very low price, as far as I know. There are also the DaYan and GAN megaminxes which I hear are very good. I have the DaYan v2 from a few years ago and I liked it for its lightness and small size.
MGC 5x5 is decent and very good for its price but there are better releases recently, like the AoChuang and GAN.

any 3x3 will work. clock should be the qiyi, and I recommend getting some inserts. mega should be the dayan pro large version. 5x5 should be the hong or gan.

SpeedCubeShop has a huge sale rn, it ends in a day.
So buy from there.

Here are my recommendations:
3x3 choices: GAN 11 M Pro UV ($38, outdated but a legend), MoYu WRM V9 Ball-Core UV ($36, its goated), MoYu RS3M V5 Ball-Core UV ($22, its a very good flagship budget cube), X-Man XT3 V1 Pioneer ($25, I’ve heard its good), MoYu YS3M Ball-Core UV ($25, it’s very good), and X-Man Tornado V4 Flagship ($31, I’ve heard it’s nice, but not as good as the V3)

Clock: Only the QiYi Clock (V1 or V2, not a big difference) ($28)

Megaminx: GAN Megaminx MagLev UV ($42, I’ve tried it, its great), DaYan Megaminx Pro ($29, I’ve heard its good), and the YJ YuHu V2 Megaminx ($11, the best beginner megaminx)

And 5x5: GAN 5x5 Magnetic UV ($58, it performs awesome), MoYu AoChaung V6 Double or Triple Track version ($52 for TT, $47 for DT), and the great YJ MGC 5x5 ($19, it’s my main, and it’s great), and lastly, the X-Man Hong 5x5 UV ($43, it’s good)

Sorry for a long recommendation post, but I hope it helps!
The prices come from SCS’s pre-Black Friday sale, and me saying if its good comes from if I’ve tried it, and videos.

First of all, what kind of turning style do you have? Second of all, I don't have a clock, but from what I know, just get the Qiyi. (oh and where do you get ur cubes from)

I honestly remember the GAN 11 M Pro at it's peak. When I started cubing, everybody was talking about this cube and It was like $65 dollars. Still the goat today because it has core magnets, springs (maglev was still not being widely used in cubes) and adjustable magnets which is still being used in most cubes today.

I have a pretty normal turning style. My turning is pretty smooth and that is why I main the Tengyun.
(I buy cubes from TheCubicle or SCS depending on what the store has. I come from NJ so I'm slightly more biased towards TheCubicle)

well since you have a "normal" turning style, and shop from TC, I would probably recommend a Pro Build 3x3, like:

Pro Build 3x3s: Angstrom RS3 m 2020 (or 2021), Angstrom Hudong Light Flagship (UV), Angstrom Tornado v3 Flagship, Angstrom Weilong WRM v10 (20-magnet ball-core + UV), Angstrom Tornado v4 Flagship, and all those cubes in the FZ and Mystic versions too,

but if you want a stock/want to set it up yourself: the Weilong WRM v9/V10 (make sure they're the good versions), the rs3m v5 (also make sure that it's a good version) Tornado v3/v4 (any would work besides the standard v3), and message me if you want more recommendatins. :)

5x5s: Pro Build 5x5s are usually pretty expensive, and stock ones are usually good without pre-setup, but setup is recommended. MGC, Hong, Gan 562, Valk 5, Aochuang (any edition), as before, message me for more recommendations :)

Mega: I usually don't even setup mine, even though I should, but: Gan Mega (maglev or normal), any Dayan, MGC, YuHu, and as always, message me if you want other suggestions. :)

But make sure to do some research to see what would be the best for you, because I don't want you to get a cube you wouldn't like.

so you mean to say your turning is “smooth” or in other words, accurate right? So if that is the case, you might want to get a GAN cube. I suggest the GAN 12 Maglev, the GAN 15, and the GAN 11 M Pro (if you have a budget I think you should go for the GAN 11 M Duo)

well the Gan 12 and 15 are for fast and more on the un-accurate side In my opinion, but the gan 11 would be a pretty good option tho
(and it also depends if you set it up and how, too)

I like the idea of getting a GAN or a MoYu since those are like really good. Mostly MoYu
So, I was thinking if I should get a YS3M, V9, V5 or V10
I know that all of these are good cubes and are used by the best in the world but I want to see what each cubes have to offer.
(Ex: Who uses them or how they feel).

Luke Garrett uses the YS3M BC, and the RS3M V5
Many people love the Weilong V10, the edition without maglev but 20-magnet ball core.
I’ve tried a friend’s V9 BC, it’s super fast, but the M-slices kinda go far.

The YS3M, V10, RS3M V5, or the 11MPro should be good choices, however the GAN 11 M Pro has adjustable magnets, a way better tensioning system, cool accessories, and is just good. But at this point watch YT videos and decide ig.

I know I'm new but I think the Moyu Weilong WR M (2021 Maglev) is a good buy in my opinion, I own one myself. As for 5x5 I'd say the YJ MGC because I have the whole line up.
Edit: For Megaminx I personally like the Gan V1 and V2 Megaminx but it's up to you, and for clock I don't know because I think clock is stupid.
