What orientation do I scramble the mirror blocks in?

So i recently got my first mirror cube. I have managed to solve it and am ready to try some solves. But I do not know which orientation to scramble them in. Is there a specific orientation needed? Or does it not matter?

Well, at the moment this is a non-WCA puzzle, so scrambling regulations haven't really been enforced. There are obviously no colors, so to my understanding you can just scramble it from any side.

I would say thinnest layer up is a good practice. There are no regulations for it tho
