My friend said that there is a method in ALL parities for the 4x4x4 cube, and it is called Multislotting.
How can you do this?
Is it even true?

Multislotting is solving 2 or more corner-edge pairs at the same time during the F2L, and it has nothing at all to do with 4x4 parity. You can use multislotting during the 3x3 phase of the 4x4, but it won't solve parity for you.

There are several definitions....

1: you see multiple pairs and solve them in 1 special alg
2: you solve a pair and see the next one and solve the pair different so the next one will be easier
3: you solve a pair see the next one already and solve the 2nd one without stopping since you already saw it (but no special alg)

multislotting is easier than you think. just pay attention to more than one pair in f2l at a time... using keyhole or RFR'F' or doing pairs in a different order are all different tricks i use. ive gotten a 5s cross, f2l+OLL cross, using x-cross, multislotting (stuck in 2+3 simultaneously), and LL control. i then got a sune and a V, giving me a 10.65. its just one of those ways of getting loooads faster quite quickly.

u make it sound so easy. but still very hard 2 understand the logic.
n very hard 2 think quickly will speed cubing
does yu nakajima do multi slotting?

mmm... firefox...
anyway, yeah its actually easier than it sounds. the way its put across normally makes it sound like you have to be a genius to figure out how to solve 2 pairs at once, but it doesnt necessarily mean that.
as long as you are aware of the different ways you can insert pairs, then you can multislot and use last layer control. for example today i made up a few vh/zbf2l cases intuitively, and some of the time managed to solve OLL at the same time.
just go very slowly, and look at the potential pairs. if one of them looks like it'll turn out to be a slower case (for example if they are together in a slot, but oriented incorrectly) then you can 'kick' it out using a different insertion, or seperate them if they are in the top layer.
its really just advanced look ahead.
good luck :)

well i'd already kinda said what it was; making the next pair as easy as possible (i.e as close to solved as possible) while solving another pair. at some points its even possible to affect three pairs.
cubeloop.com has some nice examples, but obviously just algorithms arent enough.
experiment with L, L' turns and suchlike... a little creativity never hurt anyone :)

I think everyone who is very fast like Harris and Yu probably uses some form of mltislotting even if it is just the very basic form. In my OH I use just very basic multislotting like adding extra U adjusts between pairs to make the next pair lined up or doing R U2 R' or U' R U' R' in different cases to make it easier. addin extra turns like L and such is when it can get kinda tricky.

Is multislotting necessary to get really good times at all? I am in doubt because i think that even without it and you already have good F2L mastery, you would already be able to get good solves. So i really do not think that multislotting is that useful but if I am wrong someone please do correct me. I think that using good stuff like X-cross or some more F2L techniques would already be enough. But if everyone didnt have good lookahead, multislotting would still be useless wouldnt it?

multislotting can bring down your F2L to 4sec like yu nakajima. although he is using very basic one.

so it's basically...
1. choose between R U' R' and R U2 R' insertions
2. add L moves before R U R'
3. choose between U R U' R' and R' F R F' insertions
