My question for those who know advanced F2L: If you have two slots left and the F2L pair you are solving first is in the U layer but requires a rotation to solve and you notice the other edge is in its slot but misoriented, do you pull out the 2nd edge before rotating to solve the original pair, saving a rotation, or does that disrupt your flow too much and it's more efficient to rotate twice?

could you please show a photo or describe which F2L slots are solved so that i can be more precise?

Front left and back left slots remain. Front left is a rotation+three mover. Back left has a bad edge in the slot. Green front, orange left.

I would just do 2 rotations

y' L ' R U R' U2 L d' L U L'

Can you explain why?
You just lost credibility with that skull emoji
y - Rotation
L' R - Since most cubers do more R moves than L moves, the left thumb is typically holding the middle layer. You have to move your right thumb to support the middle layer so you can do an L' move, then your left thumb has to go back to supporting the middle layer to do the R move. Also you have to keep the left thumb in the U layer to make the last part of the solution flow better
U R' U2 L - This is fine
d' - You have to take your left thumb off the cube or move your left thumb higher. For your right thumb, you have to move it higher. This is so both thumbs aren’t in the way while doing this move
L U L' - This is fine

well this don't seem particulary ergonomic either
