What is it that Feliks so good?

I personally don't understand it. In the UK, where there is rain and sheep, a hobby like cubing is acceptable. In the land of snakes, 40 degree heat and surfing why would you cube? D:

ever noticed some countries are simply better at doing certain things than others?

for example Germany makes cars much better than any other country. Same might apply to cubing. Can't really think of any other examples without being stereotypical >__<

yeah all asians are good at everything faz obv has asian blood

Wasn't zeroing about knowing which pairs require a rotation and which doesn't?
Something about the U-orbit regarding R-L colors and stuff like that.

I did read something about what I described before in this forum and it seemed pretty serious.

yeah sure whatever. I'm telling you it's a joke and it's in the list of memes on the wiki alongside other fake stuff like ortegazb. but it's probably real!!1111!1

I was intrigued by this statement so I decided to do a basic breakdown:

Code:
Country Total	# <15s	<15s %	# <13s	<13s %	# <10s	<10s %	# <8s	<8s %
Australia	96	11	11.46%	5	5.21%	1	1.04%	1	1.04%
Thailand	271	41	15.13%	15	5.54%	3	1.11%	0	0.00%
Italy 213	28	13.15%	16	7.51%	1	0.47%	0	0.00%
UK 123	14	11.38%	7	5.69%	2	1.63%	0	0.00%
France 431	28	6.50%	11	2.55%	1	0.23%	0	0.00%
Poland 329	46	13.98%	18	5.47%	2	0.61%	0	0.00%
USA 2730	144	5.27%	58	2.12%	3	0.11%	0	0.00%

I suppose graphs are more interesting... fun.

Tim.

That's interesting. I guess I should support my claims with statistics in the future. An explanation for these statistics could be that slow Australian cubers like me don't attend competitions.

Melbourne Beaches suck. You need to go to Sydney or the Gold Coast (yeah, name says it all) for 40 degree days and good beaches. Melbourne is (or used to be) known for it's rainy days all year round.
And I remember measuring heart rate in Australia Vs. West Indies maybe? And some West Indies players had heart rates below 80, seeming to say they were really relaxed. I believe and Australian player reached 180 or so at peak. So there's a flaw in "Australians are better under pressure."
(We should definitely put heart rate monitors on cubers!)
