What happens when stackmat goes over 10 minutes?

I was wondering about how in a competition, the stackmat goes over 10 minutes, how do you still get the ball time? Because I’ve seen people get like 11 minute 7x7 solves

If the time limit is more than 10 min than they might also use stopwatch but this is just a theory a JDAW6 Theory

They time the solve with a stopwatch, because the stackmat turns off after 10 minutes, although normally time limit/cutoff will be 10 minutes to prevent that being an issue.

Probably regurgitating what everyone else is saying, but since it shuts off after 10 min they either use a stopwatch, or most likely, just DNF the solve.
