I knew advanced f2l, OLL, and PLL, but I feel you could reasonably do it with 4LLL. I just learned PLL and OLL early and it's taken me to averaging around 14.What did you have to learn to get to that stage? Full OLL and PLL?
I learned full PLL and advanced F2L in order for me to become sub-20.What did you have to learn to get to that stage? Full OLL and PLL?
I would say, make sure you know 4Look Last Layer. If you do know them already, then learn full PLL. You don't need to learn full OLL yet, however, so don't worry about that. The other thing you would need would most likely be advanced F2L.What did you have to learn to get to that stage? Full OLL and PLL?
For me, I average 17 with advanced f2l (knowing how to back slot and memorizing algs for harder pairs), full pll minus the gperms and two look oll. What did you have to learn to get to that stage? Full OLL and PLL?
Yes, advanced F2L isn't nessecary to be sub-20, but it is needed in the long run. Also, if you have efficiency problems with certain cases, you might as well learn an algorithm to correct them.Honestly, intuitive f2l is enough for sub20 even now I don’t use advanced f2l.
All good points, but you do not need anywhere near full OLL to be sub 20 or even sub-13. 2-Look OLL goes a long way.I currently average sub 20 myself and I am almost at sub-15.
If you don't know full PLL, definitely learn that first. I started to learn it very early when I was at sub-45.
You should know most of the OLLs when getting to Sub-20.
You should also make sure that your cross is efficient and every F2L pair is solved also very efficiently.
That's all that I can think of. I was stuck at sub-20 for 1 year so don't give up!
