Want to start a cube store

Hello everyone,
This is the question which is wandering in my mind since one year when I started cubing. And I'm posting here expecting that to get answered by you guys. There are lots of cube stores in some countries like US, Australia, Canada etc... But I want to know how to start a cube store so that someone can sell it online or in stores?? There are many cubers in my country but facing difficulties in purchasing cubes from outside due to problems like payment, shipping charges and more. So wanted to know is it possible to start a cube store in India and if yes please guide me.

Hmm. I am the owner of Cubes4Kiwis.co.nz the NZ cube store.
basically its not hard to 'start' a cube store. You need to create a website first. I recommend Shopify and you can buy your domain first from a place like goDADDY.
I source some of my stock from Puzzlewholesale.com, which has wholesale prices.
From there its just a matter of establishing yourself, branding, always expanding ect.

Thanks for your valuable reply. Glad to meet you here. And as you have talked about creating a website it is not something that I should bother about as I can design it in couple of days even finding good domains at reasonable price but the actual problem comes when talking about a cube store and their prices. So I just wanted to know how much should I invest to expand this and what is the retail margin and some other details. Is it risky and will I get into any loss?? I hope you'll help me out answering these.

Prices? depends on how much you buy them for, including the cost of shipping per cube. Thus your profit margin must be carefully calculated so as to be reasonable, but still make the business worthwhile.
Retail margin Refers to the profit margin (IE how much profit your make per cube).
Will you risk a loss? yes. But I would recommend doing it anyway. I dunno if india has a cube store already. but even if it does that isn't to say its not worthwhile

o_OWell, thanks for your reply but I haven't seen even one thread suitable to this topic . But still I just wanted to know the procedure of starting a professional cube store in India. I mean, I want to know where do I get all kinds of branded cubes for selling and How much profit does it make, per cube?? Is it something about contacting the manufacturers directly? if yes. How? And how much investment is needed to setup a cubestore? and other tons of questions are making me more curious. Well, I'm really serious about this thing. Bcoz now a days cubing is gaining more attention and is spreading far moe than any other this kind of sport. Hoping to get a reply. Thank you

Is shipping charges need to paid per cube?? . How much profit does it make per cube? And if you are feeling uneasy to answer these here you please leave a mail to [email protected]. Or if OK here then please go ahead and give me some idea.

Yeah but it has some limitations and that to I have used it before but not satisfied as they delivered a defective Aulong and a shengshou megaminx with some stickers peeled off.. So I wonder whether this is a kind of cheating customers. Some of these kind of experiences also made me think of a professional cube store to provide best customer experience. But it is not possible without your supports. And I'm also new to this forums and waiting for more replies. And I thank OLLiver for his best and straight-forward reply but still the website he mentioned put some kind of doubts in my minde like currency, shipping charges the margin etc.. Hope I will get a better reply soon. Thank you all for your replies.
