Want to get under Sub 20

I'm down to about a 25 second average now. I do 60+ solves per day, and I am trying to minimize F2L rotations and improve lookahead.

@Stachu on page 1: I believe it's not as hard as you claim to get sub 20. I've gotten from learning to solve the cube to a 25 second average in 6 months, and doing under 100 solves a day. With consistent targeted practise, and full oll/pll, sub 20 from 30 should take no more than 3 months.

I only do 10 - 20 solves a day + playing around with the cube while doing stuff.

Plus, it's not only practice, but learning stuff as well.

It does take some dedicated practicing to be able to get under a specific time goal, whether it be a minute, 30 seconds or even 20 seconds. Like it was mentioned before, you just have to practice smartly. Look for different things that are slowing you down considerably during the solve. Actively observe every solve you do and think about the moves you are making and what you're planning on improving on.
Think about what you're planning to improve, and work that into your solve. Soon it will become intuitive and your times should start getting better.

just some avg it is not the best :(
but sub 20 it is not that hard btw i know full cfop the only thing that slows me down is the cross sometimes i totally fail

I agree it is not that hard to get to sub-20. I have been very focused on improving my time since I started cubing. I am pleased to say that after 3 years I am getting more and more sub-30 solves. I assume that I will be steady under 30 seconds within 12 months. Another 2 or 3 years and I should be sub-20. Just around the corner. :(

If you really want to get sub 20, it's just practice.
Although, with my nooby post count, this probably won't mean much.
I started cubing September '09, and my last AO12 was 21.xx
So, if you just practice a lot, you should be able to.
Although, don't practice half-mindedly. It's better to solve it twice concentrated than twenty where you're not thinking about it.

at the moment I do about 80-100 a day, I am slowly improving but don't just solve as fast as you can, practice your F2L look ahead by using a metronome, or just solve F2L using no pauses.

It's not about amount of practice, it's about how intelligently you practice. If you don't work on lookahead and smooth accurate turning, you'll never break 20 seconds no matter how many solves you do.

I can support this. I was stuck at 20 seconds for well over four (or maybe five) months. I learned full-OLL and that only got me inconsistent sub 20's but no sub 20 averages of 12. I was frustrated until I realized that working on smooth turning/look ahead was the way to go. I was sub 20 about half a week after fully realizing that.

Well, first think about what algorithms you know. Don't know full PLL? LEARN IT. Don't know 2-look OLL? LEARN IT.

For some reason when I read that, I pictured Billy Mays saying the above o.0
