What do you find confusing? If you're finding it confusing, I suggest you don't bother learning double U.
Only ccw/cw combination U perms (as in, half of the double U perms) can be done with one alg, you have to use two algs for each of the other two.
I just did an average of 12 and it was 39.65, sub 40
random scrambles though

Nice. See you at TOS (hopefully). now time to beat Forte![]()
@ neo: Do you not consider 1,0 / 3,0 / -1,-1 / 3,0 / -2,1 / -1,-1 / 3,0 / -5,1 / -1,0 and its inverse a single alg?
Square-1 is all about practice. You could honestly average 25 without learning anything new.
When you do your CP algs, you can misalign by (1,0) or (0,-1) (or both) before performing the algorithm and preserve different blocks. Learn to use that to influence your EP.

Not really, that's just two double U perms combined...

That's dumb. An algorithm is "a precise rule (or set of rules) specifying how to solve some problem " so regardless of its individual components, any series of moves that accomplishes something is an algorithm. Would you say R U R' U' R' F R F' is two algorithms? What about R' U2 R2 U R' U' R' U2 r U R U' r'?
But saying "you have to use 2 algs" is very misleading.

Okay I see the point. I still use opp + opp then adj + adj which is slower but I can also solve middle layer if needed.
