[Unofficial] Videos of my daughters progress

She has seen a few sub 10 solves on youtube and her goal is to solve it within counting "1-2-3-4-5" even tough I already told and showed her the record is "1-2-3-4-5-6-7"

But honestly speaking I think for kids the most inspiring videos are videos of other kids solving.
Which 5 year old would want to look at some old fart of like 12 years old solve a cube?
Gotta be the same age range to get the "if they can do it, I can do it" motivation.

has some pretty good age vs time ratio going on. :p

not quite 5, but Justin Adsuara did an official BLD solve at 10 :p

Nah...

We're already too late for the young cubers list:

And for all we know she may have lost interest in cubing before the end of the year.

Puzzler, perhaps teaching 8 hours straight is not the best approach ;)

I tooks us several weeks, practicing perhaps for 30-60 minutes in the evening before she goes to bed. This motivates to keep practicing because kids never want to go to sleep anyway.

This channel has good inspirational videos for kids:

She is simply amazing.

Take your daughter to a competition and allow her to compete. I'd say that would be some of the greatest motivation.

A proud daddy announces that Birgit participated in last weekends German Nationals 2010:
2:17.03 1:41.41 3:00.15 2:09.84 2:08.25 = 2:11.71

Her typical average but still remarkable as this was her first competition, first time using a stackmat timer and she had just switched from 'daisy-cross' to 'direct-cross'
