I've wanted to lube my cube but I don't have silicon and I probably wont be able to get a chance to get it for a few weeks, so I was just wondering what the pros and cons of it are, or if I should even use it at all.
i used vaseline on my first cube from wal-mart even though my math teacher told me it was bad for it, but it helped. if your not using a DIY or a cube better than a wal- mart cube id say use it if you cant get any silicon
Yeah, the new cube helped my hands get strong so that as soon as my cube got lubed I was able to turn so way faster than before and my times dropped fast, so it is good to practice on a new cube- because after you lube your cube, you'll never want to practice on a new cube again.
"they" includes me, and "the old days" include Belgian Open 2006 (my first competition). Everybody had a good laugh about it and the next day I bought silicon
Ha ha, yeah, Vaseline works fine for me, you just have to find the right balance of not too much. You barely need any, and I only put it on the edge pieces.
