V-CUBES (Questions and concerns)

I just looked at the Facebook contest. I went by the one guess only rule and didn't count any others and got:
9x9: 11
3x3: 13
4x4: 37
8x8: 20

I will check them and edit the numbers later.

Why am I that sure? Well here in germany (and I think everywhere else,too) you can already preorder one.

I can imagine V-cube only releasing a pillowed version. Sounds like a good choice.

What? No it doesn't. Not at all. Most speedcubers don't like pillowed cubes for a few reasons.

1) They're harder to control than cubic puzzles of the same order.
2) They're competition illegal with the exception of the 7x7 because pillowed 7x7's are the only commercially available type.

There are more reasons why a 3x3 cube is a poor choice

3) The 3x3 market is near saturated and Dayan is pretty much king. Unless it's an amazing cube people will only buy it for novelty or to complete a set. Eventually having 2-7 V-Cube sets would be interesting though.
4) People don't want a V-Cube 3x3. V-Cube is good at making larger puzzles and that's what the consumers want. There's a lot of hope for a 4x4 from V-Cubes soon but there's just as much expectation for something larger than 7x7.

There should be more speed cubers that work for V cubes.



I hope they have pre orders for cubic versions soon.

I can't see it being conceivable that they would be so short-sighted as to not release a cubic version. I understand releasing a smaller cube because production is cheaper and many will still buy it but nobody can be that foolish.

For anybody wondering 15 Euros is a little over $19

1. There is no money in a 9x9x9. If it happens, it happens. Get over it.

2. Probably in Feb.

3. Try rolling papers and cut off the excess.

I have no concerns. V have been surpassed in all but their 7. Bring on the XB's 7 and I'll never need another one of their products again.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!! Except that helps the cube turn, you need the screw for the way v-cube makes them.

The V5, 6, and 7 do not have screws. They are rivets that just LOOK like screws. You can not adjust them. They have nothing to do with how the cubes turn. Just glue the caps.
