I just got my white v-cube 5 today and the centre caps are all not centred down properly. No matter how hard I push, it wouldn't even go in! And also, as soon as I lubed it, it became very loose! Am I the only one with this problem?

V5's can get really loose, but I've never heard of a white one getting loose. I made a mod for tightening them because they cannot be as they have rivets, not screws in case you aren't yet aware.

Now I'm confused by your center problem, are you saying they won't stay in? Meaning you took them out?

I'm talking about the centre caps on the centre pieces. They won't fit in at all.

Sue Verdes . Just kidding but try and post atleast a pic showing the state of affairs

I don't think I can. But I can pretty much describe it.

All 6 centre caps are tilted and they can't fit into the centre piece, neither can they be taken out.
And here's another problem.
My v-cube 5 was rather stiff and slow right out of the box. The outer layers are very clicky and the inner layers are stiff too. I've done the MeMyselfAndPi's mod to all corner pieces. The clicky-feel reduced alot and is able to turn much faster than before. Then, I lubricated it with silicone. The cube immediately turn very well and cuts corner way better than before. 2 hours later, I picked the cube up and it was so loose. All of the pieces are rattling when I shaked the cube. And when I solved it, the centre-corners twisted about 3 times and the edge pieces pop once.
So I concluded that lubricating my V-cube 5 instantly loosen it up. Is is alright to say that?

Well just relax. Lubing might give the illusion that it is looser. As for the pieces rattling, its normal. And the center caps, wait until it comes out then if it can't fit, sand it a little and then super glue them or don't if you sanded it to perfectly fit.

Thanks, I'll try to do that.
