Types of lube

When I use CRC heavy duty silicone, it eats my cubes.

Why? Because the CRC website says that heavy duty silicone is not plastic safe.

I have, however, tried food grade silicone from CRC and it is plastic safe on most plastics, and nothing catastrophic has happened to my cubes yet.

So those are my two cents.

3. Leave alone until the same time next day.

That isn't necessary

But it will turn into the Smoothest you've ever seen it.

I can't see smooth. But why would it make a difference? Is there an actual reason, or are you just saying that?

No clue why, but it works wonderfully. I love the feeling, until it is taken apart or has a really bad pop, then it gets stickier. Then just let it sit again. And sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't.

But that's just my type C.

I understand you lol, with the lube i use (some old stuff i found in the garage, think its called double TT) i do the same, spray it in, do 2-3 solves, take apart and lay out on the side til the next day then OMG <3 my type c then :)

The spray I use is 3-IN-ONE Silicone lubricant and I tried it two times on my puzzle, and it does not turn great... I've done the the LancetheBlueKnight mod for megaminx and then I lubed it with silicone, it turned out smoother but kind of harder to turn.

I used to use oil, which works great, but it's no good for stickers and I fear for my puzzles and soon-to-be filthy hands...

That sucks man
The only lubricant I have found that actually work on most cubes is JIG-A-LOO
I used silicone Spray on my type F and it melted. FAIL.

I drive a forklift in a packing plant, and we use food processor silicone spray so product doesn't stick to the forks, it's made by a company called Camie-Campbell, Inc. The product is "Camie 410" and it works great. It contains NO chlorofluorocarbons or methylene chloride. It also doesn't smell bad or melt/fuse anything. I tried Jigaloo when I started cubing because of all the hype and it semi-melted my cubies and the tiles when it seaped through. You have to call Camie's number to find a distributor though, can't buy it online that I know of. 1-800-325-9572. C'ya.

This? Looks good, now I just have to find where to buy it...

3 in one is absolute garbage. Use CRC 808. Gives cubes a creamy feel.

Couldn't find it. I got my driving license like 2 months ago, so I don't know yet how to get to the Walmart all by myself XD The only place I found was the Canadian Tire where there was only 3-in-ONE and Jigaloo. I hate both. (Well, I don't hate Jigaloo, I'm just scared by it, and what it can do to puzzle :P) Since it's like 6 to 10$ a bottle, I'm not going to buy a third one XD

I washed off the 3-in-ONE silicone lubricant of my megaminx. I spread jigaloo over all the piece on a table, so it could dry. I waited and I've just assembled it, it turn really well and feels a whole lot better. Jigaloo is not a curse in the end :P Just need to lay all the pieces apart and spray not too much!

Does anyone know about the effects of a water-based lubricant (e.g. KY Jelly) on your cube, and also stickers?
