Type C center cap trouble

Hey guys, I feel a bit stupid asking this question, but I've been trying to get the center caps onto my Type C for a while now, and they just wont seem to go on, I got two on, but I think it was just lucky. I've tried everything I could think of for the other 4 but they just wont go on. If anyone has had any experience or knowledge of this, could you please help me out?

Put your cube in the freezer , weird idea. Maybe you can use some tools to make it fits nice

no... put the centre caps in the freezer, and the cube on a radiator
making the cube cold + contract would just make things worse!
perhaps you should get a small screwdriver and make the sides of the centre cubie a little tiny bit bigger.

heres my solution:
put the center cap onto the center piece so that it is parallel.
then take both your index fingers and push the piece in putting second finger to a corner which is opposite. extremly important: push with both finger exactly at the same time!!!

My center caps on my type C always come off, but I havn't heard of this.

you can get the center caps off of a store cube and use them. Type C and all Rubik's 3x3 products have the same caps.
