Type C (1) Center Cap help

Ok, so ive recently gotten a grey type C (1), heres the link to the product on Cube4You: http://www.cube4you.com/product-561.html

So, what im wondering is, how to you get the center caps on? They have these notches, so the cap stays in place, but I cant seem to put the center cap on. Does anybody have any tricks/tips on getting the center cap on?

I pop an edge out, then stick my finger in the indentation & lift.

I think that's getting it off...


You use brute force to push it on, or alternatively, you can abrade the notches.
I have that exact cube.

Do what I said then. It should snap into place with no effort. If it's hard to do, you're doing it wrong.

I couldn't get them on either on my new type C cube, but here's how I ended up doing it easily: Put the cap in on one side so you would only need to "click" the opposite side for it to enter. Then with the back of your screwdriver, push the side of the cap that's not on yet against the side that is already. It's hard to explain but it's pretty easy this way and it won't damage them.

Are you pressing it against the cube or against the correct side? If you press it against the cube it'll just jump. The screwdriver should be like at 45 degrees, not 90.

I've seen you use that symbol a few times and it annoyed me so you can have this for free... ≠

Place it diagonally, then twist.

All I can think of is put one side in and then on the opposite side push the tab inward with a screwdriver.
