REAL Fingertricks!
Ok...so after declaring that PUZL CSC is "the greatest cube in the entire universe," I followed Escher's advice and got a Type A (I used PuzzlePros).
First of all...wow! Very fast cube! Definitely not the same feel as the PUZL. Cuts corners deeper and more forgivingly. Has a tendency to explode if you're not careful--got quite a few laughs over here from some cubing accidents before I tightened it a little. I do like it though, and I don't mind being gentle with it. I like how it feels like a helium balloon.
So it appears to be a tradeoff...PUZL gives a some of that Type A speed feeling, but it sacrifices some of the flexibility for stability. It almost never pops.
I'm going to use the Type A as my primary for a few days and see how we warm up to each other, but my first impression is that it's a very cool cube.
