Mile run + real man's average of 5
8:16 at the pace of about 70s per cube.
Today was too windy and I'm out of shape.
Sub-7 should be possible after some more practice...
70 seconds? You scrambled for 50 seconds each time? (And you ran a sub-3-minute mile? Unless you did them at the same time.)
Someone should do a real man's mile. You have to time scrambling and inspection too.
I was running at about a 2min per lap pace and cubing at the same time. 30 move hand scramble in about 20 seconds. Some pauses for inspection, then about 40 seconds of cubing (OH casually solving and carefully avoiding pops.) That cube pops too much for me and it was really windy, so it was quite a risk. I think I can easily reduce it to about 40s to 60s per cube (scramble+ solve) in better conditions.
7 cubes per mile should be no problem this way, but I don't think I can finish 12 cubes before finishing the mile.
