Torpedo found in a corner piece

Hi everyone,

Ever since I received my Moyu Weilong it had a strange sound as if something inside was loose. All these months I've assumed that the sounds were coming from the springs.

But the strangest thing happened yesterday. I was taking apart my Moyu Weilong to lube it when I discovered that one corner piece had a rattling sound when shaken. I tried shaking all the other pieces, corners and edges alike, but they were all quiet. So I tried opening the corner piece, and it split in half nicely. You know what I found inside?! A torpedo!

I have two theories of how this torpedo found it's way into a corner piece:

1. A manufacturing problem. I don't know how Weilongs are made, but either the machine messed up or the person looking after the machines had a bad day and decided to stuff a torpedo into a corner piece.

2. An extra torpedo. I don't think this is very likely, but maybe the Moyu company includes extra torpedos just in case another gets broken/lost. Why they hid it in a corner piece I will never know.

Please share thoughts about this torpedo that hopped into my corner piece.

I don't think a torpedo can fit into a corner piece. There isn't enough space because of the inner piece that's used to connect the 3 parts together

OK um...not the entire torpedo. I mean the little bit on the end that you can remove from the torpedo. (I hope I've got all the names of the parts of my cube right...)

(It's probably got nothing to do with a torpedo...my knowledge of cube hardware is small.)

Since he said he "Tried opening the corner piece, it split in half quite nicely." I would think it is a WeiLong V1 not a V2 that has 3 corner pieces. I opened mine up and believe that a torpedo would fit. The pic doesn't look like a torpedo either though.

He didn't change the story...

I know now. His post above mine hadn't shown up yet for some reason, so until I saw the picture I thought that when he said that it was a piece of a torpedo he was changing it from it being a whole torpedo. I understand now and edited it. Sorry for the confusion.

Anyway, that is weird. At least now you have a spare :P
