It's only been several days after my first competition, and I already registered for my second: Sowega Solving (in 3 months). I am very excited for this one, because it offers my main event, 5x5. I also registered for 3x3 and 3x3 OH.

I already have a general idea on how to improve my 3x3 and 5x5, but until now, I have used my right hand and lots of "table abuse" for OH, and average 50-55 seconds. I want to switch to my left hand and start using better finger tricks, right now I'm using Jperm's tutorial. What would you recommend for me to do to improve OH over the next three months?
For OH switching hands is only necessary if you feel more comfortable turning with the left hand than with the right.
If you’re used to right handed algs on 3x3 left handed is a very good option.
Table abuse is perfectly fine just don’t use it for every turn.
I recommend practicing last layer algs as they may seem simple but using one hand you might forget.
The transition from picking up the cube to doing the cross can also be tough so practicing that can be key.
Also learning RU gen EPLLs are easy and recommended.
This is just my experience but I hope it helped!

Oh I was thinking about going to that comp, I ended up registering for a different one in savannah a week earlier.

I'm used to right hand algorithms, so I'm going to continue with left handed. What are RU gen EPLLs?

I have 93 days before my next comp, here's my current pbs for the events I registered for. At the end of each day I'll post if I beat any of them.

3x3: 14.83 single, 18.07 ao5, 19.36 ao12
5x5: 1:59.11 single, 2:13.87 ao5, 2:20.73 ao12
3x3 OH: 49.91 single, 1:06.84 ao5, 1:12.50 ao12

(btw, results of my last comp have been published, you can now see my WCA profile linked to the left)

I had several new cubes arrive in the past few days, and I've already mained them, even though I haven't set them up yet (setup recommendations welcome). Here are the pbs I was already able to set with them:

3x3 (new cube: Weilong WR M 2021 Maglev): 13.90 single, 18.64 ao12
5x5 (new cube: AoChuang WR M): 1:44.72 single, 2:04.33 ao5, 2:09.32 ao12

Also, I got the GAN Mirror M, which has been a lot of fun. My best so far is 1:15.38

I want to but i dont have the will to go the greenville. Its like 30 miutes to an 1 hour from were I live. Oh and I am not leagally ableto drive

I had my best 5x5 session yet earlier today, I beat all my averages and had my first sub-1:40 single!

Single: 1:36.83
Ao5: 1:50.34
Ao12: 1:53.77

Looks like I'm going to have to change the title of this thread, because I have a 19.78 ao100 for 3x3, and I'm almost consistently sub-2:00 for 5x5.
