Since there seem to be some linux geeks in here, erhmm what timer do you guys use?
I love Jnetcube but it only works in win$... at the time I'm using a web based timer that actually sucks a lot...any suggestions?

i also thought it would work well in linux... but no... at least with me it didn't even launch, i just can't remember what was the error...

here's my output
Code:
daniel@allen-dale:~/Desktop/src$ java JNetCube.jar
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: JNetCube.jar
   at gnu.java.lang.MainThread.run(libgcj.so.81)
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: JNetCube.jar not found in gnu.gcj.runtime.SystemClassLoader{urls=[file:./], parent=gnu.gcj.runtime.ExtensionClassLoader{urls=[], parent=null}}

That is just like saying cubing is only for geeks. So don't try that here.
BTW can somebody(hait2?) give guidelines to get JRE working in linux?
I have been trying for long.Even my web applets don't show up.

uhh mine all worked out of the box so i dunno. you have java right? what's output of java -version in terminal?

daniel@allen-dale:~/Desktop$ java -version
java version "1.5.0"
gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.2.1 (Debian 4.2.1-5)

well ill tell you how i got it to run
i.. right clicked it and select open with sun java 6 runtime >_>

see i'm a total linux noob
i have no idea how well ubuntu terminal commands cross to debian or whatnot
anyway here's a stab in the dark for you
what's output of sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre

i dont even know if aptitude is on debian or the package multiverse or whatnot
im useless :)

edit: your best bet is to ask somewhere where people are actually, like, knowledgeable about this type of stuff. i just know enough to get me by in ubuntu nothin more
