There is a lot of discussion about this topic. At this point, it is pretty much a consense that T, U and L are sets 100% worth it to invest some time learning if you are really willing to get faster at 3x3, at least at some point. The other sets I see some more debate arround them, specially H and Pi, and I think there are good arguments, both from people who think it's worth it, and also from people who doesn't. Jay made some nice videos talking about why he thought that specially the adjacents sets on both of these cases were not worth it, but at the same time you can see people like Juliette Sebastien, and more recently Tymon using them entirely. And there is also sune and anti sune, that could be added into that mix. So what do you guys personally think, and the overall reasons to it?

H/P algs are on the worse end of ZBLL since they end up being pretty long in order to be ergonomic/tps friendly. In general they are good enough you can make them worth it with practice but I don’t think a person would be missing out too much from not learning them or only learning parts since the cp recognition is free.

As a ZZ user, I think the S/A sets are only worth it for methods like ZZ where you ALWAYS get EO LL because you get them more often and can practice them to a higher level and it adds consistency if you know the other sets. Plus they have very good algs. For CFOP I think you’d be better off learning some 1LLL sets for some of the more annoying OLLs instead of for the one of the fastest OLLs.

Also don’t quote me on this but Brant(LazyEinstein) told me at one point that Juliette said she will eventually learn S/A so that would be interesting to see.

Juju had mentioned interest on learning AS/S in the past when I had spoke with her. No idea if she still has any interest. I hope she does because those sets are great. Definitely better than H and Pi.
