Hi All!
I started Cubing a few weeks ago by learning the Petrus Method.Though I have a timing of about 2mins now I want to switch to the Fridrich method(At the suggestion of many advanced cubers). So I am following this site to learn the algos: www.rubiks.dk

The problem is that I dont want to blindly remember the algos(which is going to take me a lot of time)....so I was wondering if anybody here can explain me the actual sequences.I mean why one particular move is being done and what are the targeted stickers to be permuted.
Any help in this regards is appreciated.
Regards
Karthik

Icky, I don't like rubiks.dk's algs that mcuh for the OLL and PLL because there are so many moves you use in each algs like R U D B L- I prefer algs with two main moves like R and U. I would use speedcubing.com's Peter's Magical Finger Tricks if I were you so you have a selectiong of whcih type of alg your prefer.

Yeah, the above link is a great place to start learning Fridrich F2L. If you can get your F2L times down, it will really take your overall times down. The LL is about recognizing and executing algs, which your hands will do without any thinking (or that is the goal). To learn algs, do them over and over until you can do it without thinking. If you need more help, feel free to ask.
