So I've been wondering how well I am actually using my 15 second inspection and I come up with a way to find out.
So, the test goes like this. Two averages are taken, in the first you are allowed to cube normally, but in the second you may not preplan any moves. You may, however, look for the pieces that make the cross, because this test is not about your reaction but rather how well you plan your first moves in advance.
This is what I came up with (the bigger the difference the better).
(26.22), 30.81, (DNF), 36.08, 29.49 avg: 32.13
(22.98), 39.59, (40.82), 40.34, 40.40 avg: 40.11
7.98 difference
Post your results, I'll be interested to see what you get.
