[Unofficial] The greatest POP ever done.

Nice POP, but surely not the greatest.

For the greatest I would like to nominate
- Frederique Badie on 5x5x5 (on too many occasions to just pick one)
- Dan Cohen on just about every puzzle during last years V-Cube competition in Essen
- A full POP on a 6x6x6 where only a core remains (I have seen several)

Ah yes, big cube pops :) I had an Eastsheen 5x5 just fall apart (more of a disintegration than an explosion) during an official solve in 2007.

I have done a strange, not a pop, but a corner "flip" in the PLL so when the solve was finished, it looked like this:

You should have taken both of your hands off of the cube before starting the timer, the pop was punishment from the gods for that.

Next years mystery event: Disintegrate-POP an Eastsheen 4x4x4, reassemble it and solve it anyway....on a stackmat.

I think I would rather have a V7 disintegrate-POP than ever fixing ES4 again

I don't know whether you saw my 5x5 explosion at UK Masters? I lost every cubie on the right hand side. It was a modded Rubiks brand. It's put down as a DNS but was definately a DNF. It was a bit of a bum at the time, but I'm quite proud of it now.

It just takes practice. Once you've fixed a few of them, they're not all that bad. A V7 definitely takes longer for me.

But stackmatting that would definitely be tough. Maybe I should get out my bad Eastsheen and practice. Care to add it to the weekly competition? :)

Well I guess that someone who hasn't seen his V7 explode in the middle of an official solve (like it happened to me at Belgian Open 2009) doesn't really know what a great pop is :D
