I've made this thread to see how was your evolution through cubing, just as a guide for me and any other beginner who wants to know if they are doing good, need more practise, switch method, etc.
Be as accurate as you can and see you later!

Ohhh cube evolution! Yayy!~

(3x3)
I never timed myself until i was in the 30s.
It took me 4 months to get sub-30 and a stackmat, and I went to my first competition after 5-6 months, and got 28 averages.
After a year, I was sub-20, and after 2 years, I was sub-16.
Then I started ZBLL, and now I average 23-25 seconds consistently.

(4x4)
After I started practicing I went to 1:30 average.
I stopped and practiced again a year later and I have a ~1 minute average.

(5x5)
After I seriously practiced, I was sub-2.
It took a few months, during this time I abandoned 3x3.

Started with a 3x3
No guide - just commutators that I learned about from Heise's site
LBL - 4LLL
Started F2L
I started timing myself and doing averages (like 30-45)
Got a 2x2 (see 2x2)
Hated the number of Algs on CFOP
Started looking more into block building
Got a 4x4 (See 4x4)
Looked into the Heise method
Developed my block building
Got 5x5 (See 5x5)
Practiced Petrus and Roux simultaneously
Went to my first competition using Roux
Switched to all white cubes.
Used Roux as a main method for the longest time.
(Got V-cubes and started bringing up my collection)
Looked back into CFOP
Still hate the number of algs

2x2
LBL
CLL
CLL/Ortega

4x4
Learned Cage
Then Reduction with 1 edge pairing
Improved centers and started using free slice.
Then K4
and stuck with Reduction

5x5
Similar Cage Method
Reduction with weird centers (I would swap 2 center edges again and again and again until centers were done)
Improved Reduction and started using Freeslice
