Evolution of top100 in 3x3 / Discussion

This is the kind of thing that always amazed me. When I started speedcubing, the top100 average was around 12.5. It's getting close to sub8 now, which is quite impressive. You can make here the future predictions about top100 persons/results for 3x3 single and average.

Quick history (could be ~1/2 day off)

Top100 persons / 3x3 average

sub10: 27/09/2013
sub9: 21/11/2015 (2 years and 2 months difference)
sub8: I predict this to be in February 2018 (looks like it will also be 2 years and 2 months)

Top100 persons / 3x3 single

sub10: 14/08/2010
sub9: 12/10/2011 (1 year and 2 months)
sub8: 12/10/2013 (exactly 2 years)
sub7: 7/01/2016 (2 years and 2 months)
sub6: I predict this to be in May 2018

I concur with May 2018 for sub 6, although it could happen later. Sub 5 by the end of 2020.
