The 'correct' way of starting the timer?

This is a video of my 5x5 sub 2 single. I want to know whether the way I start the timer consider 'cheating' or not, from 0:36 onwards. (One hand holding the cube while the other press spacebar). Btw, how do you guys normally start the timer when not using a stackmat? This is the first thread I start, so I might be posting this in the wrong sub forum, sorry for inconvenience.

You aren't really supposed to touch the cube between the end of inspection and the start of the timer, but there are really no standards in place for correct use of a keyboard timer.

I usually set the cube down on my desk after inspection to start the timer but I don't think it is cheating what you did at all when using a keyboard timer.

Nop, I wish I had the same desk back then tho, this work station is too small that its so hard to get a good angle.
