As you can read on https://freshcuber.de/cnobelprizes2020/ the team of the Freshcuber Podcast has built a "Cnobel Prize Committee" to award people each year who have contributed to the cubing world in a remarkable way. Also speedsolving.com got an award (represented by the admin team).

Now we hope to make everyone who got a Cnobel Prize in Literature, in Economics or a Cnobel Prize for Milestones in Cubing aware of it. And hopefully we get some nice responses that we can send in the next podcast episodes.

The Cnobel Prize Committee has voted Chris Olson to get the Cnobel Prize in Literature 2020 in the category "Film and Television" for his film "Why We Cube". Maybe @Rubiks560 reads this. Chris, you got an e-mail from our team member Fabi who sent you a high-resolution Pdf with your Cnobel Prize certificate.

Ming Dao Ting and his daughter Laura got a Cnobel Prize for their YT channel Tingman.

Josh (@CornerCutter) got a Cnobel Prize for The CornerCutter Podcast.

For the category "book" we had a draw in the vote, so we award both Ernö Rubik and Ian Scheffler for their famous books (Cubed, Cracking the Cube)

The Cnobel Prize in Literature and Media 2020 in the Website/App category toes to the admins here (Patrick and Mike), representing the entire staff team of speedsolving.com.

Cnobel Prizes in Economics 2020

YJ (YongJun Toys)
got this Cnobel Prize in the Cube Company category.

Nathan Wilson was awarded in the Cube Designer/Modder category.

And in the "Cube Shop" category the majority voted for ZiiCube.

Milestone Cnobel Prizes 2020

The Cnobel Prize for Milestones in Cubing is awarded to people who have made a special contribution to the cubing world and have pushed developments that can be called milestones.

As "Pioneers of Cubing" we award Uwe Meffert, David Singmaster and Herbert Kociemba this year.

Feliks Zemdegs got a Cnobel Prize as Role Model Speedcuber.

And Stefan Pochmann got the Milestone Cnobel Prize 2020 in the category Diligence Worker.

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2020 Cnobel Prizes. I hope you already got your hi-res Cnobel Prize Certificates.

You find more explanations and the certificates on https://freshcuber.de/cnobelprizes2020/

The Cnobel Prize Committee would very much appreciate if these awarded persons give us any response that we can publish in the podcast. So if you have closer contact to one of these persons please make sure that they get to know about their Cnobel Prize.
Thanks, Roland (for the committee)

Really interesting choices put out on the freshcuber website. Actually this cnobel is a cool idea.

I think cubing is not that big enough to hand out prizes in every category every year. I think it will be ideal if it is given out every 4 years or something like that.
