My SB is a bit of a mess, especially the placing of DR
any tips?

These would be my most likely solutions to your second block:

They obviously aren't any more efficient. Second block can often be a trudge and sometimes there isn't really a whole lot you can do about it. My advice is to make use of wide moves (which it looks like you're already doing, good for you) and try to influence you last pair's corner when you're solving your 1x2x2. Only other advice is to walk through other people's Roux example solves to try an pick up some tricks.

I don't plan any of SB during inspection
for FB, I just plan a 2x2 square (by looking for pre-made or easy to make pairs and then connecting to the edge and centre), and then look for the other pair and see how it is affected. If there's a move before making the 2x2 square that will make the other pair easier to solve, then I'll just do that
