The 3x3 Improvement Thread

I first solved a 3x3 cube by the end of January. The time was 75 seconds. Now, my PB single is 12.4x. PB ao5 is 17.5x. PB ao12 is 20.8x . I usually average 23. i want to know is this good and do you have any tips for how i can break the sub-20 barrier? I have to learn the Nb perm and then im finished with PLLs. I also know a few olls and 2 colls.

You're improving fine. It took me probably 7 or 8 months to get where you're at. Just keep learning youn finish up learning your OLLs, and work on your F2L lookahead, you should be sub-20 in no time.

My first ever timed solve (and my second ever solve) was a 1:15.xx too.

Progress is relative and different for different people, but you're doing about the same as me.

Excluding temporarily quitting, my cubing age is around half year, and global average is sub 16, so I think you're doing just fine. At this point I think F2L is the key, all you need to do is to keep practising and get more familiar with F2L, increase the fluidity, and always find out your weaknesses. By then sub20 shouldnt be too hard. Good luck!
