i was at my friends and he has them on his new OH cube and they seem ok, and i was wondering how many of you all(if any) use them and what are your thoughts on them?
I use the stickers that come with Cube4you cubes. PVC, I think. I like them a lot. They lasted about 6 months for me so far and they aren't very bad now.
I liked the idea of tiles, but was concerned about their possible slipperiness. I got textured ones, put them on, and took them off the same day because I couldn't stand them.
I think the texture actually makes them more slippery, not less. I'm back to using cubesmith stickers now.
well i didnt get to play with it for that long but he says that he left them out for a day(and at his house no telling who did what to them)before he put them on and they seem really nice and kind of sticky too almost like someone spilled coke or something on it them and cleaned it up not telling anyone(happens alot at his house) so it could be that
Was yours in relation to OH cubing? Even for your thread there are older ones that take about the difference between smooth and textured and stickers from cubesmith...
Anyway on topic, I use smooth tiles on my OH cube. When I first put them on I hated them and my times were worse for about 2 weeks, I'm used to them now and can OH just as easily with tiles as stickers. I haven't tried textured tiles but I assume you can get used to them after awhile.
95% of my cubes have Cubesmith stickers on them. MY OH cube to. I tried using tiles for OH but they seem slippery. There is something about the stickers where they have this grip to them whether your hands are sweaty or not.
