I am thinking of getting tiles for my cube(for durability). I do not yet have a fast enough time for it to be majorly effected(affected?). I was wondering whether I should get textured or smooth. Textured may be better for grip, but smooth may be better so I can switch between tiles easier.

I know it is a matter of personal preference, but what do you people who use tiles think about smooth or textured.

I have both textured and smooth tiles, and both look fantastic. The textured tiles give better grip, look real cool, but might irritate your fingertips after a few hours. Buy each and see for yourself. Also, if you have trouble distinguishing colors in low lighting, try bright stickers.

I should be fine with the irritation... My fingers are slightly callused because I play a bit of guitar. That should make me used to the irritation.

P.S.
It completely escaped my thoughts to check the posts. I am looking for something to bang my head on.

I personally liked smooth tiles better than textured. However, the more and more I got into cubing, the more and more I hated tiles in general. They make my fingertips sweat so I was constantly drying them on my shirt. So now I just use Cubesmith Fluorescent stickers. They're the best.

I love the normal Cubesmith stickers than tiles..
Tiles are expensive and i dont like it..
I have no idea why..
