The good part is 3:20.....watch my face as I realize I messed up the turn.

At my competitions we do parent/child teamsolves. We used to do with the parent turning and the kids giving directions, but at Nebraska I switched it to kids solving blind with help of parents, and that seems to go much better. Since my parents were at Cubetcha, I decided to surprise my mom by making her be on my team.

If TeamBLD ever becomes an official event, I could see some people signing up where the teammate doesn't know how to cube at all.

Very entertaining to watch. I think the winning time was 4:xy.

Yup, but the winning team (Boris and his mom), did this event when it was held in Nebraska, so they had a heads up on it.

And David, most people had about a minute to work out a strategy. In that short amount of time, you basically resort to pointing to a sticker and they tell you the color. Parents have no clue how to solve.

Nice one. It's a great idea to do this for fun in competitions. I used to do this sometimes with my mom when she couldn't solve the cube yet and it was funny.

What I used to do was have her tell me the colors of my corner buffer piece and edge buffer piece, by telling me the color on the U/D face first. You can easily sub1 like that just spamming algorithms as long as they tell you the colors fast enough. Also, it's a great way to get the interested in speedsolving :p
