Was watching a tandem speed stacking event and thought cubing would be pretty darn funny to watch done in tandem....especially megaminx and such.:D I think it would be a good "fun" event to have a competitions...maybe through a draw for partners to get some crazy matchups of great and newbie. I guess you would have to do two solves, switching hands after the first one.

This would be pretty cool to do as an official event. I think it would probably take more skill to do than tandem sport stacking because not all cubers use the same method or algorithms. You could need to make sure the other person knows you are going to use such and such algorithm when you do the A-permutation or when you do the Fish orientation, etc. I would love to try it as it seems really fun.

Andrew Kang and I did that at the WC, and we got like 25s single lol. There's a video of it on FB (like 35ish )

But, we were doing it team solve style; so one move each time. Tandem makes it more like one person solving the cube (if you don't zoom out and see that there's two person.
