SS Competition Results
WELCOME to the first Subset Showdown, a competition focused on restricted-move subsets & method-specific stages. The goal is simple: see how your skills compare when solving under different move restrictions & partial-solve challenges.

Events
Division A — 3x3 Cube
The standard WCA 3x3.

Division B — RU Subset
Only R and U turns are allowed.

Division C — MU Subset
Only M and U turns are allowed.

Division D — RUL Subset
Only R, U, and L turns are allowed.

Division E — LSLL (CFOP)
Solve the last slot & last layer from a provided scramble/state.

Division F — CMLL + L6E (Roux)
Solve the final Roux stages from a provided scramble/state.

Division G — WILDCARD
This event will be announced at the start of R1.

Rules & Clarifications
  • For subset events, all moves done during the solve must belong to the specified move set. Cube rotations are not permitted for move subset events (Divisions B, C, & D).
  • You are not expected to know subset-specific OLLs or PLLs. Any method is permitted, provided all moves remain within the allowed moveset.
  • Unless otherwise stated, all events use standard WCA inspection rules.
  • Videos of solves are encouraged but not required.
Scramble Generation
Scrambles will be generated using csTimer's built-in scramble generators. All competitors will use the same scrambles.

Format & Submission
  • Average of 5 solves (ao5)
  • Lowest average wins.
  • Each round will consist of a new set of scrambles for all events. Final standings will be determined using results from both rounds.
  • Submit your times either by posting them in this thread, or DMing me with your results.

Good luck to all competitors. And don't let the MU event break your wrists. Especially good luck with Division G. =P

Will we need to send in video proof to make sure that we did the right subset or not? Just wondering lol
Videos aren't required for the comp, but it would help prevent cheating from competitors.
Also, just in case anyone doesn't know how to send them, try using Google Drive or unlisted YouTube videos.
