Sub-20 with keyhole?

I'm currently averaging 29 with the Fridrich method. I don't know any algorithms for F2L though, so it's kind of noobish. My F2L takes between 15 and 20 seconds.

I'm thinking of doing the keyhole method. Would I be able to sub-20 with that?

I should note though that I'm not a D-layer hero (I suck at the D/D' fingertrick -,- my move is very inaccurate and always end up locking the cube).

Yes it is possible, but in my opinion it probably isn't worth it as you are just limiting yourself. Keyhole can be incorporated into your CFOP solves for things like X-crosses, but to use it in every solve is a bit pointless (if you are going for speed in the long run).

Also, you don't need algs to impove your F2L - just practice. I don't know any algs for F2L and can still get Cross + F2L done in ~9 seconds; I'm sure others have gotten even faster without them.

I feel like you misunderstand the concept of keyhole.

First of all lets try and correct the idea that keyhole is a 'method'

Keyhole is just a technique to aid you with edge insertions during F2L.

Essentially its a way of taking advantage of a case where you dont have the entire first layer solved, but you do have an edge slot empty and the correct corner is in place.

As for sub-20 with only using the keyhole technique, I believe that Erik did a sub-20 beginners method without keyhole.

And to address your last point. Try and putting the cross on left if it might help. Then most of your insertions are RUL
