So I got my first sub-20 avarage yesterday. And I got another even better avarage today. My question here is that when you guys got your first sub-20 average how long did it take to be consistently sub-20?
Here are the individual times of the better average

For a lot of people, once under 20, always under 20. Unless you don't practice much. I personally sort of blew past it with an 18.9 and was never over 20 again... I guess it was sort of a mental block for me...

About how long did it take you to get from say a 22 second average to sub 20? I'm stuck with this average.

For me it took a few months. I did kind of have no time for cubing though. I spent any time I did have on 4x4x4 and 5x5x5. Finally for the past couple of weeks I have been sub20 average almost every time.

I'm finally sub 21 today and sub-20 also! Now I think I'll never go over 20 again.
I solved nakajima style-- sub 20. Casual style-- sub 20. So I think it's consistent. 5 solves in a row all sub 20 without even trying. I actually thought the look ahead is horrible.

Well that was the case for me when I got sub-30 but now in an average of 12 I may have times from 15 seconds to even 29 seconds. yesterday was a good cubing day for me but today I've been having averages that are way too bad for me even a 24 seconds average:eek: and not many sub-20 times.

it depends on how much you practice/cube... if alot then it will be sub-20 consistently but it could take you a while if you don't practice!!!
