Some kid borrowed my original cube and dropped it in the hallway without realizing it. Good thing I got my DIY a couple days before that. I didn't really like it, it was a store-bought cube, it was lubed, but not broken in, and it was missing a sticker because some idiot thought it would be funny to throw away a sticker, and put a bunch of mine in different places. I ended up with white/yellow/red corners, red/orange/yellow corners, and blue/green edges.

Rowe Lost his new DIY cube at pleasantville (i think, i dont remember if he got it back or not). Two days ago i lost my best white and black cubes in florida and my relatives cant find them at their houses...I'm extremely sad/unhappy/****ed at myself for being so careless. Ill have to get some more because i sold all of my excess ones at school. Now i have my old speedcube thats okay, its not bad but its nowhere near DIY standard. Another funny thing is that when i was at summer camp (Strings International Music Festival) last year, i left my cube in another room and then it was gone the next day. That night, at a concert, a small (probably 7 year old) kid was playing with it. I knew it was mine because of the rips/tears on the stickers (and the fact that there is no rubik's logo due to the replacement of stickers). He refused to give it back to me and told me that it was his friends cube. To make a long story short, his "friend" said that he could just get another one and he gave me the cube back :D. obviously he didn't know it was a speedcube.

Wow, sorry about the long message :o

Well, I haven't really experienced any actual stealing. People just like to mess with me and hide it or take it and mess with it.

yeah same here especially at school, where the kids who cant solve it, take it just to mock me " oh right inverted, down inverted..." *ugh* i hate those who do that....

depends on who it is. everyone else, no touchie. i'm the only one in my school with a diy cube. ever since i brought a cube to school, everyone started getting one. like fo real, i brought back the whole thing. now almost everyone has one, but none of them will know the name of my my cube (DIY). i don't want them to all copy me and get a white cube.. oh yeah, and only me and my friend know fridich at our school, and we won't tell anyone either, so they'll be stuck with beginners forever >=).

That's kinda cynical. I think that you should embrace other's want to learn to cube. It's not a bad thing that other people want to be good. Exo and I pretty much brought the cube fad back into our school last year, and I probably put in 2-3 orders from cube4you for people who wanted DIYs. I think you should let everyone get as addicted as you and then speedcubing will grow even more.

No one has actually stolen any of my cubes before and i bring my cubes almost everywhere with me. They have no reason to. I seems that most people i meet have no clue how to even solve one. What advantages would come to someone who doesn't know how to solve a Rubik's cube when they steal it? Only frustration if you ask me.

The only place i could think that a Rubik's cube would get stolen is at a competition where people know how to cube.
