I bought some stickers from cubesmith and put them on all my cubes... until i heard about tiles. they say they last literally forever.. so im wondering how long do the stickers last?? if not long should i buy tiles??

how did you order stickers and not seeing the tile button right next to the stickers? tiles last for a very long time and hardly ever chip away. the stickers will last a little while though

I've had my Cubesmith stickers for maybe a month or two and they're still in near perfect condition. I've heard that tiles make your hands sweaty and other assorted complaints, though, so I don't know if they're better.

when you put on cubesmith stick, they are very good, but once you find one start chipping, you need to get ready, because more of them is gonna start chipping too,one start chipping, the others are gonna start too, it would start happening in about 1-2 months

ya i heard it makes ur hand sweaty and lose grip
or is it different for the smooth tiles?

If you don't cut your nails every day normal stickers will start to wear off in one or two weaks if you are spending some time cubing, tiles does not have the grip that stickers have but they don't wear out as fast, I would try some tiles before deciding

Edit: decide what to use...

Tiles give the cube kind of a 'high-quality' feeling in my opinion. They feel very nice and look neat, and no, they don't make your hands sweaty.
Personally I like both stickers and tiles(smooth and textured ones), so you should give them a try, next time you order from cubesmith!

I used a tiled cube very heavily for awhile. Here's what I found:

It still looks brand new--I normally shred stickers, and the tiles seem to be nearly indestructible.

I can confirm the "sweaty feeling" thing--I don't know if it was really moisture or what...but that cube always felt a little slippery.

At the moment, I'd rather use stickers and just replace them periodically. If I ever make another cube with tiles, I'll be using the textured ones.

Probably a stupid question, but does having a white cube make it different when buying tiles? as in will it look weird or different to a black cube?
