Stetson

Whoah, uhhhh. My last 4x4x4 time was a 1:09, not a 16 minute solve. I think someone put Jason's 4x4x4 blind time as my last time because it says that his last solve is 1:09, and I'm pretty sure that is my time.

David, or someone who can change it. Take a look at that.

Yeah when I looked at the results they looked fine, those few things I guess I missed. I will go over them again and talk to Bob about it. It was a long day I understand there are some mistakes we will get them fixed first thing tomorrow. It will be fixed shortly.

Sorry about that guys

David

I finally got back from Stetson a little bit ago. It was an 11 hour drive, but well worth the trip. I obviously didn't do as well as I would have liked on the 3x3x3, but I can't complain about anything else. It felt so good to get a 4x4x4 BLD in comp. That solve also broke my streak of 25+ DNFs...

The stuff after the competition was so much fun. Lofty, Bob, David, Ou, Richard, and I all went to Chili's. We cubed there until they kicked us out, then we sat in the parking lot and cubed some more until 2:30 am. I got really sick of the T-perm though... ("yes, I got it! no wait, Bob, can I do U2?!") 90 moves later... good times :P

Lofty, I'm pretty sure that's my medal in your bag, haha. Don't worry about it though.

I told you it was time to break the streak of DNFs! I was right =]

I actually am pretty happy with how I did at attempted the centers on the 4x4x4 bld. One turn form getting 4 of them.

I tried it again today, and got all the centers blind :D

Doubt I'll end up actually solving the whole thing, in particular considering that's not how you do it, but it sure was fun for me.

Ok so corrections have been made, I believe there is one more thing that is being fixed and should be fixed shortly.

btw for those of us that went to Chili's I figured it out, it's impossible to solve the cube with the T-perm. Pieces can only be moved from the U to D and around and some pieces can be moved from L to R but only in that middle slice. I'm not 100% in it but I tried it and I didn't get very far. Congrats to Jason again for winning pretty much everything, and learning to do the T-perm even faster. I can't wait to see Brian with some ridiculous time at nationals for OH, and Hadley I wanna see that Pyraminx record set.

Stetson Spring competition 2008, otherwise known as the Jason and Bob show. Not a single event without one of them in the top 3. :-)

Congrats to everyone involved, I wish I could have come.

Haha, it really was the Jason and Bob show. Especially during the finals where all the finalists were on the stage behind the timers, and everytime Jason goes up to solve, every one like adjusts their position so they can see the solve. It was great meeting all of you guys.
