Sorry about another stupid question... but what cable do you use to connect the stack mat to a computer?

First you need a male to male stereo cable that is 3.5mm (1/8"). This goes into the microphone port of your computer.

Then you need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo plug adapter, because the Stackmat port is 2.5mm. The adapter will connect the Stackmat to the stereo cable.

Or you could get a stereo cable that is 3.5mm on one end and 2.5mm on the other end.

I've spent a LONG time rewiring music studios... and I just wanted to ammend your last comment there...

Male means there's a outward jack, female means inward. It's the same with RCA jacks, as well as co-ax cables, etc.

That's why they call them 3.5mm and 2.5mm. A female jack would have a receiving end for the male jack, if it were like a cable length extender

Why not use unambiguous (and IMHO more tasteful) terminology such as "plug" and "socket"?

For information on the various terms used for the different connectors (including the archaic "gender" assignments :rolleyes take a look at (or cite) an appropriate online reference (in preference to bickering over who's right all the time).

Because "plug" and "socket" have other meanings in electronics, such as, well, a wall ac plug.

I now confirm. Bought two of these cables on Nov 20, they were sent Nov 22, I received them Dec 2. And they both work fine with CCT.

For searchability and for the record (in case DX removes the item): It's a direct male 2.5mm to male 3.5mm cable, no additional adapter needed, and it costs $0.97 with free worldwide shipping.

I will probably pick up a couple of these. I had been using the cable that came with my tourny display and using a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter, but the adapter would barely plug into the back of my sound card due to the speaker jack being right beside of it.
