Stack Exchange for Speedcubing - A Good Idea?

I know that a lot of forums use 'level' based systems (probably to do with no. posts), so why not have it here? One problem that I see is that people hay be encouraged to post too much in order to 'level up' and this could lead to lots of unnecessary posts.
I suppose this could be countered by having 'levels' which are determined by a user's length of time on the forums, number of likes or possibly even a link to someone's WCA page (number of competitions, sum of ranks, etc.). This could make sure that information that people are getting is coming from a reliable/trustworthy source.
These are just my thoughts on the matter.

I think the amount of questions that you can ask about speed cubing is kind of limited. Most of the posts will just turn into: 4x4 parity? What cube should I get? How can I improve? I don't really see a point of using it over the forums or the subreddit.

The forums are great.

Stack Exchange is one of the best things known to mankind, but I feel like this forum can cover pretty much everything more comprehensively than a stack exchange category for it, simply because it's been around forever.
